Install centos 7 on vmware workstation 1112/27/2022 7.4 -> 7.9 are symlinked to centos7 and 8.0. Minor releases of RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 (i.e. The rescue kernel works to boot the system though and I can login normally so I'm currently trying to poke around there. The NVIDIA Container Toolkit is available on a variety of Linux. I get the Grub menu, select the normal kernel and then just a flashing cursor. Anyone have a similar use case that's working or have tips on where to start troubleshooting? I'm not able to change to the paravirtual controller and boot successfully under ESXi, but I can leave it at the LSI Logic Controller (either parallel or SAS) and it works fine. boot is a standard partition on /dev/sda1, my other partitions are LV's on /dev/sda2. I've successfully been doing this with CentOS 6 without LVM by copying (either through Workstation or OVF export/import) and then modifying the virtual hardware in vSphere before booting it up. On workstation the paravirtual scsi controller is not available, but I'd like to use it in ESXi. I'm trying to copy CentOS 7 virtual machines (hw version 8) from VMware Workstation 11 to ESXi/vSphere 5.5.
